Exp. 2 - Two Architects, two concepts:

Kenzo Tange, concept:
Combinations of primal geometric shapes construct solid buildings inspired by (metabolisms and shapes of) nature, aiming at public needs such as safety - a post war response - and longevity.

Kazuyo Sejima, concept:
Constructed (negative and positive) space is manipulated to optimise flow of circulation, light, air and of the very building within its surroundings (cultural and physical) context, achieving flexibility and fluidity for better lifestyle.
